Well this was definitely a weekend of excess everything. But it was a lot of fun, full of friends, good conversation and yes food and booze. But it is what it is and I need to learn to deal better in social settings anyway so I had some practice this weekend.
Friday Mike and I met up with A and her boyfriend. We had a nice dinner at outback but definitely way to many carbs. I focused on conversation though and tried not to eat to much of anything.
Saturday Marie had her relay races in the morning and then in the evening we went to our old renters place for a bonfire. They ended up inviting several other families so it was really nice meeting some new people. Definitely to much eating and drinking there though lol.
Then Sunday I woke up feeling like hell. Was in the bathroom all morning, with my body revolting from all the crappy foods from the past 2 days. Then I headed off to the old renters baby shower which I was last minute invited to lol. My stomach was still rumbling. But it was fun and nice, again more food. I thought I did well with that though. After that I came home took a little nap and then got my butt to the gym for a long 2 hour workout. I knew it was Tony's (anti-jared) 5k day so I knew I had to get that in if nothing else. But I pushed myself and got in a full workout. The gym is always pretty empty on Sundays so it was nice.
Tomorrow I meet with the priest from the kids school to talk about next year's tuition. I've been eating over it for days it seems. Thankfully today I kept myself out of the candy bowl though I thought about it at least 10 times. I hate that some things can push me to food even now. I'm hoping both kids will be able to go but I've already decided that Nicholas will finish 8th grade there even if Marie has to go to public. It doesn't hardly seem fair but I just can't do that to Nicholas. He deserves to finish with his friends he's been with since kindergarten.
Well week 6 of the step challenge is now over. Only 2 weeks left to go ladies. Send in your numbers by tomorrow, I have a few so far. My number is kind of low this week. I've just been slacking in the walking/running area. Need to try to step it up the last 2 weeks.
Well till next time...
